In a classroom setting, an RFID Bookcase could be used to keep
track of textbooks, reference books, or other educational
materials. Students would be given RFID-enabled ID cards that they
would need to scan when checking out or returning books. Teachers
or librarians in charge of managing the RFID Bookcase would have
access to a database that would show which books are available,
checked out, or overdue.
To check out a book from the RFID Bookcase in a classroom, a
student would need to scan their ID card and the book's RFID tag.
The system would then record the checkout and display the due date
for the book. When the student returns the book, they would need to
scan their ID card and the book's RFID tag again to complete the
return process. The system would update the database to reflect
that the book has been returned and would remove the checkout
record from the student's account.
